Medicolegal and Dentolegal Team Leader
Bobby completed his medical degree at Queen’s University Belfast. He holds a master’s degree in Medical Law from King’s College London and an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School. He is a qualified GP and previously served as the Clinical Lead for a large GP out-of-hours service.
He joined Medical Protection in 2014 and is now a Medicolegal Consultant Team Leader, combining both technical and operational responsibilities. Bobby has extensive experience supporting Medical Protection members across Asia, as well as in the UK, Ireland, and the Caribbean and Bermuda.
Medicolegal Consultant
Dr Uzair graduated in medicine from the University of Malaya and previously held the position of Senior Principal Assistant Director in the Medicolegal Section, Medical Practice Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia. His passion for medicolegal work compelled him to complete a Bachelor of Legal Studies from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a diploma in Legal Medicine from the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine in the UK.
He was awarded a Chevening Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Medical Law and Ethics (LLM) at the University of Kent and previously held the position of Vice President of the Medicolegal Society of Malaysia. As a key member of the Medical Protection International Medicolegal Team, he currently supports members across Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Caribbean and Bermuda.
Sara graduated from University College London in 2008 with a degree in medicine, having also obtained a BSc in Neuroscience and Basic Medical Sciences. She trained in psychiatry in West London, gaining membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She has also worked as a Postgraduate Medical Education and Clinical Risk Fellow and completed a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Education at UCL Institute of Education.
Joining Medical Protection in 2016, Sara initially supported members in the UK, before moving to assist members in Asia and the Caribbean and Bermuda. She has since obtained a postgraduate diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association and is a member of the ICA. She also has a diploma in Legal Medicine from the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine and completed her LLM in Medical Law at Queen Mary University of London.
Case Manager
Laura graduated from the University of Law in London.
She began her career at Medical Protection as a Medical Secretary in 2013. After completing her Law degree, was promoted to the role of Case Manager in 2018. Laura specialises in advising doctors in Asia on all non-claims cases, ranging from complaints and queries to complex regulatory and inquest matters.
Inge graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and completed a postgraduate qualification in Legal Practice (LLM) at the University of Law (Bloomsbury).
She joined Medical Protection in 2018 as a Case Manager in the UK team, handling complaints, advice, reports and inquest cases. In 2021, Inge moved to the Asia team, where she now manages a wide range of all non-claims medicolegal matters, including complaints, advice, reports, criminal matters, and inquests.
Andrew graduated from Edge Hill University with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Law and Criminology.
Starting at Medical Protection in 2015, Andrew initially worked in the Membership and Underwriting teams, before moving to the Cases team, where he has worked for the past six years. In July 2024, he joined the Asia team as a Case Manager, focusing on non-claim cases.
Sandra studied Business at Cambridge College of Further Education.
She began her career at Medical Protection as a Senior Dental Secretary in 1996 and was promoted to the role of Case Manager in 2020. Sandra provides expert advice on non-claims and regulatory matters to doctors and dentists in Asia.
Case Management Assistant
Lauren joined Medical Protection in 2016, initially in an administrative role in the Operations Support team, before moving to the Caribbean and Bermuda team. She plays a key role in supporting Case Managers and Medicolegal Consultants with file management and day-to-day correspondence related to cases. Lauren is also the first point of contact for members, as well as panel law firms and solicitors when they contact Medical Protection.
Sue joined Medical Protection in 2014 as a Medical Secretary. She later became a Case Management Assistant working in the UK, before moving to the Medical Asia Team in 2022.
She supports Case Managers and Medicolegal Consultants with file management and day-to-day correspondence related to cases. She is the first point of contact for members, panel law firms and third parties when they contact Medical Protection by phone.
