SUPPORTING MEDICAL EDUCATION AND SURGICAL TRAINING IN IRELAND

Following the opening of 26 York Street in 2018, RCSI’s newest campus in Dublin and one of the most advanced medical simulation centres in Europe, Medical Protection demonstrated its support to medical education and surgical training in Ireland through establishing the MPS Tutorial Room in this state-of-the-art building.

The MPS Tutorial Room is located in the National Surgical and Clinical Skills Centre, recognising the close alignment between the two organisations’ commitment to advancing safe clinical practice through education, innovation and research. Medical Protection members will be able to attend future Medical Protection education events, workshops and presentations, offering opportunities to learn and network in the heart of Dublin city centre. In February 2020, Simon Kayll, Medical Protection Chief Executive, and Prof Cathal Kelly, RCSI Chief Executive, were joined by colleagues to formally mark the naming of the MPS Tutorial Room in 26 York Street.
