SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST

Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
Our IT Department has a requirement for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on a permanent contract based in our Leeds office.
This role will work closely with the MPS Test team and will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and tests cases, automation for newly integrated features and the development of toolsets to augment testing within MPS.
As a SDET you will be involved in the development and maintenance of tools that build, deploy, automate and streamline code management and delivery process across multiple application environments.
Key responsibilities include the creation, maintenance and execution of test plans and test cases against our hardware and software platforms. Develop and maintain application tools that build, deploy, automate and streamline code management and product delivery process. You will enhance MPS’s performance testing activities and write specialised testing tools for use by the rest of the Test team.
Interested applicants will ideally possess 4-6 years of experience in Microsoft Technologies, with knowledge and experience of SQL, C# and .NET high desirable. Demonstrated skill using code repositories, preferably Microsoft TFS, and knowledge of Microsoft plug-in tools, such as Selenium, would be a distinct advantage in this position.
Candidates must possess excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues and experience of applying formal software testing methods, coupled with knowledge of performance test techniques and strategies is essential. Additionally strong communication skills and a good standard of statistical Mathematics are required.
