Student Competition Terms and ...
Student Competition Terms and Conditions
The student competition to win one of five R1000 takealot.com vouchers is open to South Africa students at Medical schools in the South Africa who pay tuition fees for their University.
To enter the competition, you must complete an application for free student membership of Medical Protection, by 23:59 on the last day of the month. If you have any questions in connection with the competition, please e-mail
[email protected]
with " Student Competition " in the subject line.
One winner will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The winners will be selected by a computerized random generator from all entries. The draw will take place on the second Tuesday of the following month.
The prize will be sent to the five prize winners by email within 14 days of the winners being announced.
The competition will run monthly in 2024. All successful applications will be entered into the monthly draw for the month the application was approved.
All current student members will be entered into the monthly prize draw.
Entrants into the competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
The winners will be notified by email the second Tuesday of each month. If the winner does not respond within 1 week of being notified, a second email will be sent, as well as a text and phone call. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks from the date the email was sent then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and a second draw will take place. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited.
The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
Employees or agents of The Medical Protection Society Limited ("MPS", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the student competition may not enter the competition.
MPS accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by MPS.
MPS accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
The vouchers must be accepted as offered by the named winner only. MPS reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.
Winners consent to the use of their voice, image, photograph, and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by MPS and its related companies) by MPS and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Student Competition for an unlimited time. These may be used in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Student Competition, all entrants agree to the same. Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Student Competition and shall participate in such activity on MPS's reasonable request.
MPS shall use any personal information supplied as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at www.medicalprotection.org/home/privacy-cookies-policy, and in accordance with data protection legislation.
MPS reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Student Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud). The decision of MPS in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.
MPS shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, cyber-crime, data breach, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures.
The competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the student competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Takealot.com. Prizes are subject to Takealot.com's standard terms and conditions as at
