Weekly Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
- The weekly prize draw (the "Prize Draw") is open to UK Medical Students at Medical schools in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland who pay tuition fees for their University.
- Employees or agents of The Medical Protection Society Limited ("MPS", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Prize Draw may not enter the Prize Draw.
- Entrants into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
- To enter the Prize Draw you must complete an application for free student membership of Medical Protection. If you have any questions in connection with the Prize Draw, please e-mail us at [email protected] with "Weekly Student Prize Draw" in the subject line.
- MPS accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by MPS.
- The closing date of the Weekly Prize Draw is 23:59 on 31 March 2024. Entries received outside this time will not be considered.
- One winner will be chosen each week from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The prize draw winners will be selected by a computerized random generator. The draw will take place on Tuesday of each week between 22 January 2024 and 31 March 2024 from our pool of medical student joiners since the start of the competition.
- The weekly prize fund of £200 will be paid by a third-party agency Highjam Marketing.
- MPS accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
- If a winner does not respond within 1 week of being notified by Highjam Marketing, a second email will be sent, as well as a text and phone call. If the winner does not respond within 1 month then the winner's prize will be forfeited, a second draw will not take place. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited.
- The prize will be paid directly to the winner within a week from receiving their bank details.
- The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
- Highjam will make reasonable efforts to recover money paid to incorrect accounts but will not be held responsible if incorrect bank details have been supplied. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up to date details when signing up to Medical Protection and when sending over bank details. Highjam and MPS cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance.
- Prize money must be accepted as offered by the named winner only. HJ and MPS reserve the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.
- Winners consent to the use of their voice, image, photograph, and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by MPS and its related companies) by MPS and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Prize Draw for an unlimited time. These may be used in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Prize Draw, all entrants agree to the same. Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Weekly Prize Draw and shall participate in such activity on MPS's reasonable request.
- MPS shall use any personal information supplied as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at www.medicalprotection.org/home/privacy-cookies-policy, and in accordance with data protection legislation.

- MPS reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud). The decision of MPS in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.
- MPS shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, cyber-crime, data breach, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures.
- The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
