Our telemedicine hub brings together resources covering the wide range of medicolegal, ethical and communication challenges that may be presented by an increase in remote working.

These are designed to help you make the most of the opportunities that telemedicine brings as well as manage associated risks.

Treating patients in another country?

Medical Protection can provide indemnity for matters arising from telemedicine activity within your country of practice. However, undertaking cross-border telemedicine activity is currently outside the scope of membership.

Members who wish to provide telemedicine services to patients outside their country of membership should contact us for advice specific to their individual circumstances. Although you will not be indemnified for this activity, we recognise that the treatment of patients is of paramount importance and, should you choose to do so, we want you to be able to deliver this in a safe and effective way.
