NB Medical Education and Medical Protection are pleased to announce a new partnership aimed at strengthening access to a range of educational resources for primary care clinicians.
The partnership will provide Medical Protection GP trainee and newly qualified GP members with access to a bespoke online portal of resources including 15 NB Medical course handbooks, one-hour hot topics clinic webinars, podcasts and blogs. It also provides free places on the GP Update Hot Topics Course - a 6-hour webinar which covers the latest clinical updates and guidance across primary care, as well as a hard copy course reference book. Participants will receive CPD certification upon completion of activities and can track and record their CPD on their personalised dashboard.
There is also an Advanced Clinical Practice Update Course available, designed for Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Pharmacists and anyone working at an advanced level in a primary care environment, who is a member of the Medical Protection group scheme, Practice Xtra. Both events are running in November and more information on booking can be found here.
NB Medical has been the market leader in providing GP Update courses across the UK and Ireland for over 25 years, delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical education in a practical and time-efficient format. It’s teaching approach is patient-centred and structured around the real-world challenges faced in clinical practice.
The clinical educational support offered by NB Medical, complement the ethical and medicolegal resources provided by Medical Protection’s own Online Learning Hub – which hosts interactive courses, webinars and videos as a benefit of membership. Having access to both platforms, at no additional cost, will ensure GP trainees, newly qualified GPs and primary care professionals can tap into a range of materials tailored to the needs of today’s primary healthcare workforce.
Dr Simon Curtis, Medical Director at NB Medical, commented:
“We are excited to be working with Medical Protection. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to support GPs and the wider primary care team with trusted, practical education and guidance. We are confident that the collaboration will enable both organisations to deliver even greater value to the primary care professionals we serve.
Dr Rob Hendry added:
“We understand the pressure the primary care workforce is under, and how vulnerable GPs can feel, particularly when due to enter the workforce or in those first few years of practicing independently.
“As part of our ongoing support and commitment to our GP trainees, newly qualified GP members and primary care professionals, we want to provide access to first class clinical education to complement the medicolegal learning resources we already provide. I know this partnership with NB Medical will be highly valued by our members and their teams.”
