We welcome the opportunity to respond to the Ministry of Justice consultation on the Damages Act 1996 – The Discount Rate.
We have submitted our position in relation to the general principles which should be used to assess the appropriateness of solutions; the proposed use of periodical payments; and the legal parameters governing the setting of the discount rate.
