Join Medical Protection in-house experts Dr Tim Cookson and Dr Samantha King, for this one-hour recorded Q&A webinar examining the medicolegal implications facing medical practitioners as a result of COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

Dr Cookson and Dr King will discuss common questions and concerns raised by fellow Medical Protection members.

A broad range of topics will be covered, such as:

  • Medical Council guidance,
  • privacy and HDC concerns,
  • managing remote consultations, and
  • ethical concerns arising, including use of PPE.

Speaker

Dr Tim Cookson is a Medical Adviser for Medical Protection in New Zealand. A graduate of Otago University, Dr Cookson worked in paediatrics before commencing general practice in 1987. Dr Cookson has been a GP in a central Wellington city practice for many years and is involved with undergraduate and GPEP training.
