Having joined the LMC 23 years ago as a GP registrar representative, Tracey Vell has worked in general practice for over 2 decades. In this time, she has also set up Mandoc, a limited company enabling the GP contract to be split, as well as fulfilling the role of chair of the LMC for 4 years.
In 2014, Tracey became chief executive of Manchester LMC and took the position of chair of the Association of Greater Manchester LMCs. In this role, she perseveres to bring primary care to the GMH&SC Devolution Programme and now works as senior management in the programme for primary care transformation.
Outside of these roles, she also works nationally on the New Models of Care Technical Committee. Working on the new MCP contract, she supports, advises and works amongst grass-root GPs.
