The Medical Protection Society Limited (“MPS”) is the world’s leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals. Membership provides access to expert advice and support together with the right to request indemnity for any complaints or claims arising from professional practice.
Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
Our Communications Department has a requirement for a Social Media Executive to join them on a permanent contract based at our offices in Leeds.
As a Social Media Executive you will work closely with the Marketing Communications team and contribute to MPS’s delivery of digital member engagement strategies in order to define and deliver a consistent and compelling brand message to our audiences.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of MPS’s social media communities across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as other existing and emerging platforms.
A significant portion of this role will entail the running of social media campaigns for a variety of our departments including Marketing, Education and our Professional Services Divisions; you would also be responsible for creating and adapting content for each specific network to reach MPS’s selected audiences.
As the Social Media Executive you will monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy; then in addition you will monitor, analyse and report on the impact of these social media campaigns.
In order to be considered for the role you must possess demonstrable experience and immersion in social media, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
Preferably you will have least two years’ experience in managing the day to day operations of social media accounts across a variety of channels and platforms and experience of delivering social media marketing campaigns.
You will ideally be degree educated, although this is not a prerequisite, and possess excellent writing, editing and communications skills as these are a necessity for the position.
