Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

Our Finance Department are looking to recruit a Project Accountant to join their team at our offices in Leeds, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Project Accountant you will provide effective technical support to the department and in particular our Accounting & Compliance team regarding the implementation of our new IT system and software.

In addition the post holder will be responsible for planning and leading the finance process to reconcile the financial data migrated as part of the new systems and will also provide support with various aspects of day to day accounting.

As well as providing technical support you will carry out user acceptance testing on behalf of the department and may develop over time to include further system integration testing where project timescales allow.  This role will also contribute to and coordinate projects when required, as well as providing support with BAU systems and activities.

In order to apply, candidates will ideally be a nearly or recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), coupled with excellent analytical, reporting and reconciliation skills.

You must possess advanced computer skills and be comfortable dealing with large data sets and queries surrounding data analysis. Knowledge of SQL is particularly beneficial. Knowledge of Excel is a necessity for the role and advanced skills such as macros and VBA would be a distinct advantage. Experience of working on projects, with the implementation of a new IT system is highly desirable.

Importantly you must be able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines.
