The Medical Protection Society Limited (“MPS”) is the world’s leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals. We protect and support the professional interests of more than 300,000 members around the world. Membership provides access to expert advice and support together with the right to request indemnity for any complaints or claims arising from professional practice.

Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

As a result of growing our in-house legal function, we are recruiting for Legal Advisers to join MPS at our offices in Leeds on a permanent basis.

As a Legal Adviser you will provide legal advice and support to our members on cases, primarily in relation to Healthcare Regulatory and Inquest cases. From time to time you will also provide general legal advice, as well as supporting and mentoring junior colleagues within the department.

Additionally, you will act as a specialist resource and provide support to our Medicolegal and Dentolegal Advisers within our Case Management teams.
