Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
As a result of growth, we are currently looking to recruit an Actuarial Analyst within our Risk department in our London office to help with the development of an autonomous in-house actuarial function.
This role will work closely with our Actuarial team and will be primarily responsible for assisting in pricing and reserving projects.
Working with other members of the actuarial team the job holder will deliver analysis to assist in producing the actuarial review of subscriptions (pricing) for all major membership groups on a bi-annual basis. Part of this role will also involve the implementation of actuarial models for actuarial reserving analyses and developing and integrating the data warehouse outputs into pricing and reserving processes.
In order to apply you will be an experienced actuarial student, having completed some of your examinations, and ideally possess a mathematical degree.
You will need to have some experience of working with long-tailed general insurance classes and be experienced in drafting actuarial reports and presentations.
You must have excellent Excel skills with knowledge of VBA, MS Access/SQL and ResQ a distinct advantage.
