Competition Terms and Conditions

  • The Singapore Annual Student Draw competition is open to medical students who sign up for free Medical Protection student membership in Singapore between 1st February 2022 and 30 November 2022.
  • Employees or agents of The Medical Protection Society Limited ("MPS", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Singapore Annual Student Draw competition may not enter the competition.
  • Entrants into the competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
  • To enter the competition, you must complete the online student application form for free Medical Protection student membership by the closing date of the competition.
  • The competition runs from 1st February 2022 to 23:59 on 30 November 2022. Any medical students that sign up for free Medical Protection student membership within this time period will automatically be entered into the prize draw. Entries received outside this time will not be considered.
  • The draw will take place on 23 December 2022.
  • The winner will be chosen at random from the draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • MPS accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by MPS.
  • The prize - a Latest Series 7 Apple Watch - will be ready for collection by the prize winner within 7 days of the winner being announced.
  • If the winner does not respond within 1 week of being notified, a second email will be sent, as well as a text and phone call. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks from 6th January 2023 then the prize will be forfeited, and a second draw will take place. If a prize is rejected or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeited.
  • The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
  • The prize must be accepted as offered by the named winner only. MPS reserves the right to verify the winner and ask for proof of identity, age and address and withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions. 
  • MPS accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
  • The winner consents to the use of their voice, image, photograph, and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by MPS and its related companies) by MPS and its related companies, both before and no longer than six months after the closing date of the Singapore Annual Student Draw . These may be used in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Singapore Annual Student Draw, all entrants agree to the same. Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Singapore Annual Student Draw and shall participate in such activity on MPS's reasonable request.
  • MPS shall use any personal information supplied as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at www.medicalprotection.org/home/privacy-cookies-policy, and in accordance with data protection legislation.
  • MPS reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud). The decision of MPS in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • MPS shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, cyber-crime, data breach, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures.
  • The competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the Singapore Annual Student Draw competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
