Having closely followed the evolving coronavirus situation; and taking into consideration official advice and local needs, we have decided to postpone all our face to face events until further notice. We have taken this unprecedented decision because the health and safety of our members and colleagues is paramount.
We will continue monitoring the situation over the coming weeks and decide if there is a need to postpone any future events. We hope to be able to re-schedule the postponed events later in the year if possible. In the interim, you can still access online Risk Prevention programmes through our PRISM platform and we will be scheduling regular webinars.

Managing Conflict and Aggression in General Practice
All staff working in general practice have a right to work in an environment that is free from harassment and threat. No-one should have to tolerate the threat of physical or verbal abuse.
Unfortunately conflict and aggression towards staff in general practice does occur. This is primarily because the work involves contact with a wide range of people in circumstances that may be difficult. Patients and their relatives may be anxious and worried. Some patients may be predisposed towards violence.
The Managing Conflict and Aggression in General Practice workshop will assist your practice in recognising and managing different aspects of conflict that they may encounter at work. It provides practical tools and tips that can be used to help resolve a difficult situation.
