Dr Katie Grant initially studied Pharmacology, then completed her Medical degree in Southampton, UK  in 2005. She undertook her foundation doctor years in the South of England and then worked as an anaesthetist for approximately 6 years, developing an interest in paediatric anaesthesia and critical care.

Alongside her clinical work Dr Grant sat as a medical panellist for the General Medical Council Fitness to Practise then Interim Orders Panels. She also sat as a lay panellist for the General Dental Council, and was a medical member of the First-Tier Tribunal (Social Security and Child Support). 

Dr Grant began working as a medicolegal advisor at Medical Protection in 2014 working on UK cases initially, moving to specialise in Asia casework in 2016. She is currently completing her MA in Medical Law at King’s College London.
