External resources

  • International Journal of Surgery - Research and review articles, editorials and news related to surgery. The IJS is dedicated to the global advancement of surgical research, education and clinical practice.
  • Medicaleducator is a website written by experienced doctors designed for medical students for one purpose: to help them prepare and to revise for their medical student finals.

  

 

  • Medical Student is a free newspaper written, edited and published by medical students for medical students. Published by the University of London Union (ULU), it comes out every month and is distributed to major sites at all five London medical schools.
  • Meducation - Meducation.net is a free community site for doctors and medical students, which contains medical education resources such as medical tutorials, practice exam questions, and access to a comprehensive medical encyclopedia.

 

  • Memorable Medicine is an educational resource aimed at medical students and junior doctors. It provides concise information on the essential topic areas in an integrated and interactive way. Learning resources are in the form of written notes, podcasts, videos, forums and wikis. At present general surgery is covered but more subject areas are coming soon.
  • Student BMJ is a monthly international medical journal for students with an interest in medicine. The journal is compiled by a student editor and student advisers from various medical schools in the UK and overseas.
  • Trauma is a magazine produced for medical students by medical students. Distributed free in over 22 countries, Trauma is the world’s largest free distribution student magazine.
  • Yoracle is a free online resource for medical students which features revision notes, and Yoracle's online forum.
