Malaysian graduates can practise in Singapore
23 April 2007
Medical graduates from two Malaysian universities can practise in Singapore for the first time.
Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) are the first institutions in the ASEAN to be allowed to send graduates to practise in Singapore.
The Malaysian Medical Association welcomed the announcement and said it would benefit patients and doctors.
The Singapore Health Ministry has also accredited 18 institutions from China, India, South Korean, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Canada and the United States.
