Risky Business leads the way in patient safety

This year's Risky Business conference will feature new ideas on managing risk, patient safety, human factors, leadership and teamwork.

The event, which will take place on 18-19 November in London, will be chaired by Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow.

Discussions will include:

  • Litigation: Does it improve patient safety? By Peter Laussen, Chief of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Children’s Hospital of Boston
  • When things go wrong; an account of "The Bloodgate" incident from Dean Richards, England and Lions Rugby Union player
  • Making things right; a discussion from Judith Orasanu, NASA Human Factors Expert and Rhona Flin, Human Factors expert.

The conference will be hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
