Conferences

MPS has been running its annual General Practice conference since 2008, providing the primary care team with an opportunity to focus on risk management with expert speakers and interactive workshops. The title of the conference for 2012 is "Where the risks lie", and will take place in three venues across the UK in June.

Workshops

MPS has a dedicated educational services department running a programme of workshops throughout the year that are free to our GP members. They cover important topics such as 'Mastering Your Risk' and 'Mastering Adverse Outcomes'.

MPS runs seminars for practice managers around the country. With speakers from MPS and Croner these seminars focus on risk management and employment law. Complaints

We can help practices formulate a response to a complaint made against a member of their staff and assist and support them through to the resolution of a complaint. We work with members to look at why complaints arise and how to minimise the risk of recurrence.

Handling media attention

Where a member attracts adverse publicity, we can issue press statements and act as spokesperson to the media to shield them as far as possible from having to deal directly with the press.
