Medicolegal training
MPS takes an active role in promoting good medical practice and minimising the risk of clinical mishaps. We provide a number of free educational initiatives to support the medical profession in delivering high quality care.
We can provide speakers, not only for seminars and conferences, but also for departmental meetings and junior doctor and GP training sessions.
Lectures/Seminars/Conferences
Our medicolegal advisers lecture widely at both national and local events on legal and ethical issues of importance to junior doctors and consultants in each specialty. We provide medicolegal and ethical supporting material, including specialty specific cases and guidelines and these are tailored to each event. Request a speaker for a lecture, seminar or conference.
Educational Co-ordinators
We have a dedicated team of Educational Co-ordinators who work within the UK and Ireland to provide informal sessions and talks on subjects such as Consent and Keeping Medical Records. These talks have proved to be very popular when run as F1/F2 teaching sessions as part of the foundation curriculum. For more information and how to request a talk or session for your department please contact your Educational Co-ordinator.
