MPS at the party conferences 2009

For the fifth year running, MPS will be present at the annual party conferences and will be participating in the Health Hotel – a collaboration of 43 organisations who all work together to host events that encourage debate about the top issues in health.

We will be hosting the fringe event “Cash for health: paying the price for quality”, alongside the National Patient Safety Agency and the New Health Network, at the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative party conferences.

We hope the event will provoke a lively debate about what is meant by quality in healthcare and what really matters to patients. We will consider what weighting is given to cost, safety, health outcomes and experience when establishing what is really meant by quality in the NHS.
