Sarah Denton

General Counsel

As General Counsel, Sarah is responsible for providing and obtaining legal advice on a wide range of corporate legal issues affecting the MPS group. She has responsibility for the selection and oversight of MPS's panel of external lawyers and is the Chair of MPS's Ethical Conduct Committee.

Sarah gained an MA in Modern History at Oxford University, before going on qualify as a solicitor. She also holds an MBA from the Open University Business School.

After private practice specialising in professional indemnity, Sarah went in-house to manage claims at the Solicitors Indemnity Fund and Zurich Insurance before joining MPS in 2005 as Director of Claims and Legal Services, becoming General Counsel in 2010.

Sarah is also the Chair of the Ethical Conduct Committee and the Secretary of the Claims Advisory Committee.
