Finance Director

Howard’s role covers all aspects of the financial management of MPS which include the relationships with our fund managers and oversight of the internal audit managers.

As Finance Director, Howard is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of investment, membership, internal audit and compliance, as well as MPS’s wholly-owned subsidiary company, MPS Risk Solutions Limited (MPSrs).

Howard has over 20 years' experience in financial services, having originally graduated in Mathematics from the University of Leeds. He has experience in the mutual sector and with one of the UK’s leading insurance companies where he was finance director of their personal finance subsidiary. He has had extensive involvement in investment, credit management and capital markets and is a qualified corporate treasurer.

He has also been closely involved in economic development in the Leeds city region and has promoted the financial and professional service sector internationally, including lobbying at local and national government level.
