Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
As a result of growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Reserving Actuary within our Risk department in our London office, to help with the development of an autonomous in-house actuarial function.
The purpose of this role is to work closely with our Company Actuary and to be responsible for the day to day management of MPS reserving projects.
This includes regular reviews of reserves, studying the drivers of the reserve movements and then inputting into reporting, subscription setting (pricing) and financial modelling when required. This role will see you work across our Risk department and the wider organisation.
This role will involve both devising and implementing actuarial models as well as providing quality assurance for actuarial team work. As the Reserving Actuary you will provide expert advice regarding MPS reserves and claims analysis to senior stakeholders from across the company.
In order to apply you must be a qualified Actuary, preferably with a mathematical degree. Additionally, you must have an established track-record of reserving for general insurance long-tail liability classes. You must have excellent Excel skills with knowledge of VBA, MS Access and ResQ a distinct advantage. You must be able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines.
