The Medical Protection Society Limited (“MPS”) is the world’s leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals. We protect and support the professional interests of more than 300,000 members around the world. Membership provides access to expert advice and support together with the right to request indemnity for any complaints or claims arising from professional practice.
Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
Our Communications and Policy department has a requirement for a Change Communications Lead on a 12 month fixed term contract based in our Leeds office.
As a Change Communications Lead you will work closely with our Strategic Change department and contribute to MPS’s overall internal communications strategy.
In particular, this role will be pivotal in providing change communications support to our large scale IT change project, and will have the responsibility of converting complicated material into simple messaging for the understanding of the rest of the organisation.
You will be responsible for providing communications guidance to the project leads and other senior managers, as well as developing and delivering change communications plans with a major focus on colleague communication.
In order to be considered for this role you must possess substantial and demonstrable experience of developing and delivering change communications plans and managing complex communications challenges across multiple audiences. Experience of working in change teams and advising at a senior level is also a necessity.
Experience of coordinating a communications plan for a major IT change project is a significant advantage.
Ideally you will be degree educated and CIPR qualified, although this is not a prerequisite, and you must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with the ability to interpret and simplify complex material for a range of audiences.
In return, we offer a great working environment in conveniently located offices in the City Centre. We offer an exceptional benefits package, including a 12% pension scheme, 25 days paid holiday (in addition to public holidays), private medical insurance and a health care cash plan, childcare vouchers and an annual bonus scheme.
