Electives

MPS offers student members free medicolegal elective protection.

What is medicolegal protection?

Indemnity or protection against being sued - this can come in the form of compensation for loss incurred as well as representation whilst being sued.
Telephone advice to help you through ethical and legal dilemmas that may confront you whilst away.

Why do you need elective indemnity?

It is unlikely that you will be subject to a claim arising from your training but the institution hosting your visit may ask for evidence that you have some form of indemnity malpractice cover.
