China and India make WHO register
30 July 2007
China and India are the latest countries to join the World Health Organisation’s clinical trial register.
The Clinical Trials Registry in India is the newest of the world’s five primary registries.
According to the WHO the move will:
- Enable a clearer clinical picture to be observed.
- Allow local research activities to be tracked.
- Improve the quality of research.
- Mean that the researchers are more accountable to the people who take part in the trials.
