16 Mar 2011
The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) has reviewed the cap on the number of temporarily registered (T-reg) doctors allowed for clinical departments identified as areas of need (AON), as well as for other specialties.
The total number of T-reg doctors for service provision in a department will be capped at 40% of the total established medical officer positions in a department.
The SMC has also revised the eligibility criteria for the extension of temporary registration under the various service schemes.
