Health Budget 2011

The Health Minister has laid out the Ministry’s plans and health agenda in his recent parliamentary address.

The minister said that while Singapore has made good progress in healthcare, he still has plans to transform the Singapore healthcare system into one of the best in the world.

Infrastructure development, long-term care, and integrated healthcare are all high on his agenda. Strengthening community support to help mental patients integrate back into the community is another of the ministry’s aims this year.

Health promotion and encouraging a healthy lifestyle are also important. The ministry will also look into better workplace and school health.
