Communication skills

Being able to communicate effectively is one of the most important skills of a GP.

The successful application of your clinical skills depends on good communication with patients and colleagues. It should make you a better GP. It should also make you more effective in dealing with problems – whether with patients or other healthcare professionals.

In this issue of GP Trainee we look at areas of communication that can cause problems and some ways of avoiding them.
