The core function of the MPS Press Office is to provide media handling support to members but it's also the place for journalists to come with any media requests or to set up interviews with MPS spokespeople.

The MPS Press Office operates around the clock to assist with media enquiries, arrange interviews with MPS spokespeople and keep the media informed of public statements made by MPS.

The core function of the MPS Press Office is to provide media handling support to members. If you find yourself in the media spotlight please get in touch and we can provide expert advice and support, including liaising with journalists and providing statements on your behalf.

Media scrutiny of you and your practice could put your personal and professional reputation at risk. Early advice from the MPS Press Office can help mitigate risks and we can help you respond to the media and deal with them on your behalf.

The Press Office is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Information for journalists

The MPS Press Office assists with media requests for information or commentary on the medicolegal, ethical and healthcare policy issues of the day.

MPS spokespeople are experienced, authoritative and well placed to comment on issues that affect the practice of doctors and other healthcare professionals. Our spokespeople include those who are registered medical practitioners and hold a legal qualification.

We also issue press releases, designed to keep you informed of public statements MPS makes, including comment on emerging issues, policy and analysis of MPS data.
